Birds

I am not sure where my fascination with birds came from, except I have a very good friend who enjoys birdwatching. The many varieties and categories allows a host of opportunity and, being independent, there is no guarantee you will see them or be in a position to photograph them. This makes the exercise very calming, and patience is a virtue!

Flowers Bushes and Trees

Flowers can be found everywhere and their variety never ceases to fascinate me. Photographing flowers can be very therapeutic and mindful as one can concentrate on the detail of the subject or step back and view the impact they make in the surroundings

Wildlife

The animals and insect population far outnumber the human population on this planet and yet are so difficult to find or see at times, unless one concentrates and does it with intent and purpose. By and large they see us as a predator, but capturing them in a natural habitat I feel is an achievement.

Landscapes, Seascapes and Cityscapes

Perch Rock Lighthouse

I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to visit the West Highlands of Scotland, for scenery, Lochs and stunning beaches; the North West of England, for seascapes, beaches and the City of Liverpool; and to live on the edge of the North York Moors, for stunning Landscapes, coastal villages, seascapes and more.
Here are a selection of my Photographs taken in Towns and Cities. Some of my Cityscapes may be classed as Street Photography

Intentional Camera Movement

A photographic technique where the camera is moved intentionally while the shutter is open to give an abstract effect.
