Guisborough is a market town on the edge of the North York Moors known as the Gateway to the Moors. It is an ancient town and he ruins of Gisborough Priory, sacked by Henry VIII, exist. In St Nicholas’ Church is the cenotaph for Robert de Bruce, part of the Norman heritage dating back to 1066.
